Abstract


A game is a computer game created using the animation method. In this study, the game design is an arcade genre game and is made to run for the Android operating system. This game focuses on players who have to collect points and defeat Non Playable Characters (NPC) which are arranged with artificial intelligence and combined with the A star algorithm to be able to choose the shortest path to find players. Unified modeling language (UML) is the programming language used and MonoDevelop and Unity 3D as game engines. This study designed a 3D game using Unity 3D successfully implemented the A star (A*) algorithm on NPCs where NPCs were able to chase players through the shortest path and Unity 3D is a good game design tool because it is easy to understand and can maximize the potential of players in the allotted time.
